Python Job: Network Engineer

GPORTAL is one of the world's leading providers of cloud services in the gaming sector, headquartered in Munich. We develop and operate a modern web interface for the administration of game servers. Connected to this are various systems for the administration and development of multiplayer infrastructure services. From the ordering and payment of our products to the management of the services on the individual hardware units, the entire system is an in-house development.

We are currently looking for a Network Engineer - NetOps (m/f/d) to support our highly motivated team of gaming enthusiast.

As a network engineer (m/f/d) you are responsible for the planning, operation and further development of our data center networks accross the globe.

You can expect modern, globally distributed, and massively scalable infrastructures. In a culture which places great value on creative ideas, agile working methods, initiative, and participation, you are faced with the following exciting tasks:

• Administration and troubleshooting of our network infrastructure
• Conception, setup, and further development of solutions for network automation.
• Support company goals through an efficient operating architecture, active lifecycle management, and lean processes in an agile NetOPS environment.
• Creation and implementation of modern network designs

You have several years work experience in the network area. You are familiar with the common routing protocols such as BGP and overlay technologies such as VXLAN. You also have the following qualifications:

• Several years of experience with traditional network manufacturers such as Cisco and Juniper. You can also implement network functions on Linux systems.
• Passion and enthusiasm for new technologies such as network disaggregation with whitebox switches, SONiC, and Cumulus.
• A preference to automate with Ansible and Python instead of doing the same thing manually over and over again.
• The ability to communicate in English and German
